[Deafness] AuditionSolidarité wins the Fondation pour l’audition’s 2023 GOLD deafness inclusion prize

Every year, the Fondation pour l’audition awards deaf inclusion prizes to organizations that have set up projects promoting the inclusion of deaf or hard-of-hearing people. This year, the GOLD deafness inclusion prize was awarded to the AuditionSolidarité association for its project « les rendez-vous solidaires : free hearing aids for people in need ».

The « rendez-vous solidaires » aims to lift all deaf or hard-of-hearing people living in precarious situations out of exclusion and isolation, wherever they may be. More broadly, the project is aimed at all those who are excluded from the 100% health scheme introduced in January 2021.

AuditionSolidarité welcomes people directly into the hearing centers of our partner audioprosthetists. These audioprosthetists fit them, if necessary, entirely free of charge with hearing aids recycled at AuditionSolidarité’s recycling facility in France. As soon as an appointment is made, AuditionSolidarité puts together and sends to the audioprosthetist concerned a « solidarity kit » containing a range of recycled hearing aids to meet a variety of needs (profound deafness – severe deafness – moderate deafness – mild deafness).

Thanks to the €40,000 endowment from the GOLD deafness inclusion prize, AuditionSolidarité hopes to secure the jobs of the two employees who work every day to run the solidarity events.
